Milo Dinosaur Recipe

A cold Milo Dinosaur drink made with Milo powder, milk, sweetened condensed milk and ice, finished with a generous mound of dry Milo on top. Ready in 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 200 millilitre (⅔ cup + 1 tbsp) whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons Milo (and extra for decoration)
  • 2-3 tablespoons condensed milk
  • ice cubes to fill one glass

  • Warm half the milk in the microwave or in a small saucepan until hot, but not boiling.
    200 millilitre (⅔ cup + 1 tbsp) whole milk
  • Add the Milo powder and stir until fully dissolved. This prevents clumps in the drink.
    4 tablespoons Milo (and extra for decoration)
  • Stir in the remaining cold milk, then add the sweetened condensed milk to taste.
    2-3 tablespoons condensed milk
  • Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour the Milo mixture over the ice.

  • Spoon a generous mound of dry Milo powder on top.
  • Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon so you can scoop the dry Milo as you drink.

Notes

Milo Dinosaur variations

  • Milo Godzilla - add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Milo King Kong - add ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles.
  • Neslo - add 1–2 teaspoons of instant coffee.
  • Extra creamy - replace a little milk with evaporated milk.
  • Blended Milo Dinosaur - blend the drink with ice for a slushy version.
  • Milo shake - blend with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
